Abstract. The results of the research of production and procurement activity of the system of consumer cooperation of the Republic of Crimea after the entry of the region into the structure of the Russian Federation are presented. The authors emphasized a high social and economic importance of cooperative entities operating in the regional market. Their non commercialized basis and social orientation are emphasized. The theoretical and methodological basis of the carried out research became the factor model of the integrated assessment of a cooperative entity used in practice. Also the empirical methods of research based on the comparison of basic technical and economic indices of an organizational activity are used. The assessment of the main economic indices of the work of the enterprises in the system of the consumer cooperation of the republic is made. The analysis of the factors which caused structural transformations is carried out. The main reason for the loss of the positions of a cooperative entity in the consumer agricultural market is the transfer of a considerable part of the property of the union into the state property. The discrepancy of the results of the made changes with the main provisions of the government programs and law drafts directed on the development of the agriculture, support of agricultural producers, raw materials and food products in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Crimea is shown. The perspective directions of the development of the production sector of the consumer cooperation, increase of the production volume and procurement in the provision of the food security of a region are suggested. The importance of the state support of cooperative entities within state and private partnership is shown.
