Abstract. 
Currently the problem of conflicts and disputes between entrepreneurs increases, which hinders productive and efficient cooperation, as well as the development of small and mediumsized business as a whole. Mediation is a popular way to resolve disputes primarily in foreign countries. The mediation procedure of the mediator of the parties of the conflict finds a solution to conflicts and disputes, which saves time and money of both parties. The article analyzes the concept of “mediation” in business. The reasons for solving the problems of entrepreneurship are revealed. Measures for conflict resolution in business are defined. The theoretical basis of the study is represented by the classification of the concept of “mediation”. The article analyzes the causes of disputes and conflicts between entrepreneurs, the causes at which the role of a mediator can become formal. A mediation approach to the resolution of conflicts and disputes is revealed. The Russian and foreign experience of conflict resolution through the mediation approach is analyzed. The proposed measures contribute to the resolution of disputes and conflicts between entrepreneurs. The author emphasizes that in the conditions of tension of the working situation and aggravation of conflict situations in business it is necessary to use the services of mediation. In addition, if the mediator is unable or cannot solve problems due to lack of education, qualification, specific skills, conditions or interest in conflict resolution, it is necessary to make use of prompt intervention.
