Abstract. There is a need for the development of theory and measurement of technological progress because of the increasing role of technical progress in accelerating the economic growth and due to the exhauste of the potential of extensive reproduction. Theoretical conclusions of foreign economists in this field are obtained with reference to the economies of countries with developed market economies. Are the results of modern studies of technological progress applicable to the economy of Russia and its branches? What are the features of the technological shifts in agriculture used in making decisions concerning innovations? The dynamics of the parameters of technical progress is estimated in the article. The economic content of the parameters of technical progress is interpreted. Features of its characteristics are revealed. The type of technical progress in agriculture of the Krasnodar District is determined. The purpose of the article was to measure the dynamics of efficiency and capital intensity of technology, the return from scale and elasticity of replacement of labor by capital (land capital, land labor). These parameters are not directly statistically observable. They are calculated using the production function as an imitation model of the production process. The article uses the methodology of neoclassical synthesis used in microeconomics, statistical and econometric methods of research. With the help of a reasoned modified production function of the Cobb-Douglas type, a relationship between gross product and labor, capital and land is revealed. The dynamics of parameters of technological progress is measured. Its type is determined. The contribution of factors of production and technological progress to economic growth in the Krasnodar District in 2000-2014 is estimated. The conclusion is made about the presence of non-neutral technological progress in the industry, about the transition from capital-intensive to labor-intensive type of progress with increasing efficiency of technology and the return from the scale of production, technological periods are singled out, the contribution of factors of production and technological progress to economic growth is measured.

Key words: production function, parameter dynamics and type of technical progress, contribution of production factors and technological progress to economic growth.
