Abstract.
The article gives a comprehensive analysis of the activities of regional and municipal management. The estimation of efficiency of activity of the regional and municipal administration of the Volgograd region in the medium term period of time is offered. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the executive authorities of the Volgograd region is conducted in accordance with the procedure approved by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated August 21, 2012 № 1199 “On the evaluation of the effectiveness of the executive bodies of subjects of the Russian Federation”. In the article the subject of the evaluation are the results of regional and municipal management in areas such as economic development; development of health and education in the region; growth rates of housing construction and provision of citizens with housing units; development of housing, communal and road infrastructure; public safety; improvement of energy efficiency and environmental protection; development of the consumer market and others. The efficiency is tied to specific indicators of social and economic development of the area in the short and long term period. On the basis of the monitoring of problematic areas of the socioeconomic development of the region are revealed. Recommendations to municipal management authorities are given in order to improve the efficiency of their activities in terms of the implementation of strategic priorities of the Volgograd region.
