Abstract.

The article discusses the results of the evaluation of the spatial variability of socio-economic status of municipalities of the Volgograd region based on the methods of spatial analysis on the platform ARCGIS. On the basis of the statistic data for the year 2012 the results of the assessment of the spatial variability and heterogeneity of economic development, economic activity and living standards in municipalities of the region were assessed.
