Abstract.

The article offers the conclusion about an unclear prospect of the post Olympic use of large Olympic objects located in the mountain and coastal clusters. Besides, during the Olympic construction some of the considerable expenses made were not seriously proved. And nevertheless in spite of the fact that every project is unique and the authors are sure that for Russia the realization of the Olympic megaproject is a priceless experience that should be studied in details and in first turn for not repeating the same mistakes at the realization of another started sports megaproject, i.e. Football World Cup 2018 and later to minimize risks and miscalculation at the realization in the practice of the strategic territorial management of such an tool like megaprojects.
