Abstract.

In the article changes of the innovative development indices of the regions of the Southern Federal District in the periods before and after the adoption of the social and economic development of the Southern macroregion up to 2020 is analyzed. The author draws the conclusion that the creation of the innovative conducting media in the Southern Federal District is the most workable strategy of the efficient use of the innovative potential of Southern macroregion and one of the main targets of the regional economic policy on the modern stage.
