Abstract.

In the article the cross-country comparison of the level of regional disparities in GDP per capita is conducted. The author's evaluation of the degree of inter-regional and intra-regional differentiation in the south of Russia is presented. The measures directed on the improvement of regional policy and strengthening the unified economic space are proposed.
