Abstract.

The general characteristic of the land resources of the Rostov region and, in particular, agricultural land is discussed in this article. It is shown that the cadastral valuation of land is the basis for the determining its socio-economic value. The methodological issues arising in the determining of the cadastral value of the land are identified.
