Abstract.

The article analyses the results achieved by the regional authorities of the South Federal District in the 2011-2013 in the implementation planned by the Government of the Russian Federation project measures directed on the institutional approach of the strategic territorial management as a necessary condition of the realization of the district "Strategy of social and economic development of the Southern Federal District up to 2020".
