Abstract.

The basic goal of this article is the development of the measures in the increase of the competitive character of the city of Novoshakhtinsk on the basis of the opportunities arising from its border position of its territory. Directions of the strategic development of the city of Novoshakhtinsk are worked out taking into consideration the level of the realization by the entrepreneurs of the city and the problems of the development of the border cooperation. A particular importance to this work is given by the state border of the city of Novoshakhtins with the Ukraine that can become a catalyst for the development contributing to a rapid change of the progressive ideas and technologies.
