Abstract. The relevance of the study is determined by the fact that the creation of a modern digital architecture of strategic planning documents for regional development is one of the important conditions for the successful functioning of the entire strategic planning system in the Russian Federation. The purpose of the study is to develop scientifically substantiated measures for the development of a digital architecture of strategic planning documents for regional development in the Russian Federation. As part of the study, the content of the concept of “digital architecture of strategic planning documents” was clarified in relation to the field of public administration of regional development. The content of the principle of “connectivity” was revealed in the context of the methodology for making management decisions based on the design and implementation of strategic documents related to regional development. A matrix structure of regional development strategic planning documents was designed, reflecting the structure of regional management documents and their corresponding federal-level documents. It was shown that the principle of connectivity is implemented in the format of horizontal and vertical connections of strategic planning documents, which ensures a holistic vision and comprehensive achievement of the strategic goals of socio-economic development of the country and its regions. It is substantiated that the digital architecture should ensure the integration of strategic planning tools into the overall system of state regulation of regional development in a way that ensures positive changes in Russia’s spatial development. It is concluded that the digital architecture should be a tool for active design strategic planning processes in the interests of the country’s and regions’ socio-economic development.
