Abstract.

The presented article analyses problems connected with the development of the South of Russia under the conditions of the consumer economy. The comparative analysis concerning the prospects of the consumer economy development Russian regions is lead including the Southern federal district. The author draws the conclusion on the degree of the influence of the regions on the development of the consumer economy of Russia in general.
