Abstract.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the opportunities and the prospects of the development in Russia of social medicine and the introduction of the principles of the "green economy". A special attention is paid to the problem of the improvement of the system of the social protection of the population in the regions of the North Caucasian federal district at the expense, in the first turn of an active use of the tools of the social medicine.
