Abstract.

The article analyses the basic problems of the social and economic development of the federal regions of the Southern federal district. The basic factors, influencing the level of social and economic development of the regions of the Russian federation are studied. The relationship between the efficient government management and the rise of the level of the social and economic development of the regions of the Russian federation is revealed. Particular measures concerning the increase of social and economic development of the regions of the Southern federal district.
