Abstract.

The article shows the specificity of the innovative development of the regions of the Volga federal district. The integrated indicator of the innovative development of the regions of the Volga federal district as the characteristic criterion is shown, the peculiarities of social and economic complex of the republic of Tatarstan as one of the leading regions according to the level of the innovative development are studied.
