Abstract.

The processes of economic space transformation at the megalevel of modern global economic system, accompanied by the megaregions forming and development, are investigated. Megaregions identification criteria, main modes of their forming in the megaeconomy space and types are defined on the basis of critical rethinking the foreign theoretical approaches to the megaregions phenomenon and practical aspects of their current functioning.
